Regionals
November hosted the Student Korfball Regional competitions; the Northerns on the 17th and the Southerns on the 24th. It was only the second time when the tournaments served as a qualification event for March's BUSA competition. The results also determined which teams would be seeded for Student Korfball's national showcase event.

Sheffield Hallam dominated in the Northerns and ran out deserved winners, claiming one of the two top seed berths and arguably seizing the mantle of favourites for the BUSA Nationals.
Birmingham Uni bounced back from their disappointing 13th ranking in the previous Nationals in style, deservably winning what was a very closely contested Southerns tournament, with qualifiers from group one decided on goal difference alone.
Reading, Keele, Nottingham Trent and the 2001 champions Cardiff were the four teams who failed to qualify, despite some impressive performances from the unfortunate quartet. All will certainly head to March's Second Team Nationals and will be challenging for honours.
